Silace's Roan

The First Myth: Silace & Exile

God's second son, Lorn enlisted five demigods to help him create the gift of his galaxy and the green planet, Tara, for his daughter. Each of these demigods understood from the moment of their birth that they were concieved with the sole purpose to be of service to Lorn at the end of his life. In their youth, all five demigods became masters of their own unique set of skills that would be used to create Lorn's final gift. Silace, the youngest of the five, was the keenest observer of the demigods and his sharp perceptivity rivaled that of even the greater gods. With natural ease, he understood the innerworkings of the forming universe around him and grasped it's full potential for ever expanding intelligence. He alone was tasked with designing the mind of Tara's most capable being, the human. And so, with the help of God's wisdom, Silace was to give humans the gifts of logic and reason.

Lorn himself, along with the demigod, Neris, were responsible for creating the beauty of Tara's land. Together they carved rivers into valleys, pulled mountains from plains, and cast the sun to shine its warm light across all that was green and growing. Lorn had forbid his demigods to reveal their work to each other, for he alone wanted to decide how their individual great works would be drawn together into a whole. He feared the powerful influence that the demigods would have on each other, for each approached the creation of the galazy with their own prized interests and goals. However only just before the Tara's creation, Neris, in an attempt to seduce the clever young Silace, invited him in secret to glimpse one of her proudest creations in the world. Expecting to be impressed by magnificent vista or a great ocean alongside towering cliffs of which he had heard the other demigods speak of, Silace was shocked by the small and quiet intimacy of this place she took him. Pulled by her soft hand, she lead him into a valley within the heart of a humble forest. The trees were not ancient primordial things, and the creek she led him to was no white river, but their subtle and perfect beauty captured his heart. The forest itself sang with humble birds and light dappled through these young green trees with an natural rightness that was so wonderous to Silace that he became entranced by the depth of every shadow, every movement of water over the many colored creek-bed stones, and every small animal that hid its eyes from his own. It was here in this small valley that Silace discovered a facet of his being previously unknown to him, and without awareness, he gave himself over completely to its awakening.

(he fell so in love with earth that he began to lose interest in his own skills and became so distrancted by the power of beauty, that he bagan to question the purpose of logic)
